Re: My own little PAW or beginning an English Redneck
but It's already been established that I'm an English Redneck! And are counted as amongst the finest folk known the world over! 8) From a fellow Redneck on the other side of the pond, I feel for you brother. Good on you for soldiering on, and taking responsibility for prepping as well you can. Keep...

Re: Dick's Sports Sucks itself
Maybe some of it is store dependent, but I find Gander is the worst when it comes to firearms services in particular. Plus, the stores are a pigsty most of the time. Now I only go to local dealers and online retailers. Much less hassle, much more polite and, at the shops, more knowledgeable. Huh. T...

Re: Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm 4 1/4"
Congrats on your purchase! I've had an M&P in .45acp for almost a year now, and I'm very pleased with it. I only have about 700-800 rounds thru it, but have had zero problems with it. I would say keep an eye on things, but more than likely it should run fine after a few hundred more rounds. If not, ...

Do I have a gut feeling that "something' is coming? - Yes. But, you have to factor in that you're asking this question in a forum dedicated to preparedness. We've all prepared in some way or another and I believe we're all itching for something to happen so we can prove to ourselves that our preps ...

Re: How do you guys afford this stuff?
I got lucky and bought all of my guns back when both myself and my wife had well-paying jobs, and could afford to buy them. Recently with the downturn in the economy, my wife lost her job for over a year, and I had to take a lower-paying job. She's now back to work part time and I'm starting to get ...

Okay, I'll play. First I'd probably be the guy that goes to work and borrows his boss's semi with lowboy trailer to haul either one of our front-end loaders or excavators to the homestead (He has quite a few of all of the above, and I'm just borrowing them so it ain't stealing..... ). Then wi...

Is this smething to do with the seating of the bullet on 357sigs? As in 357 sig is prone to this? seems so http://www.recguns.com/Sources/IVG15.html Kinda makes me think about switching to .40 or 9mm. Although I would love a 1911. Go with the 1911. Everyone should own at least one...... 8)

Re: Carrying a dirty gun.
I've really only had two personal interactions where I notified a LEO I was carrying (I don't have to here.) One was when I was pulled over for a routine inspection by a state DOT cop while driving my semi cross state. I handed him my paperwork and DL and CWP. He asked if I was carrying; I said as a...

A competing zombicon (sic)???
I know it's probably quite a stretch, but I was just made aware of this by one of the members of ZS 17. Highly unlikely, but I was just curious if we/ZS has any copyrights on "Zombiecon" etc....

Galls has a sale on different styles of 5.11 pants, Buy 3, get the 4th FREE (linky). (mixing and matching of different styles is okay) Not to mention that it's always worth a look at their closeout section, one of the best on the web at times, IMO. Not the best prices out there, but depending on the...

Wow man, sorry to hear about your bad luck, but kudos for being so thorough with documenting and reporting everything. Damn good advice as far as going by "the book" instead of not report things. That's a hard question to answer, with many variables involved. Like- what substance/s are they withdrawing from? How long have they been on it/them? How long since they last partook? What type of constitution (mental/physical/spiritual strength) do they have? What outside experiences have they gone...
