Re: Most common ammo's in US?
Here in Middle TN the only rounds available are 350 Legend (a'lot of this for some reason), birdshot, and 22LR. That's it, no pistol calibers or common (for here) rifle calibers. I did find some 303 British and some stuff in 7mm and 8mm Mauser. There were a few chamberings for Weatherby's and Lott's...

Unfortunately they are also out as is everyone else unless you want to pay 70 bucks for 20 rounds. 1918 Italian Carcano Terni Model in 6.5 with bent bolt and 2000 meter adjustable sight. 1918 Italian Carcano Terni Model in 6.5 with bent bolt and 2000 meter adjustable sight. It needs a little TLC- cleaning, and the safety isn't working right now, but the barrel is good and so are the sights. Now I just need to find some ammo and clips ( I only have 1). Interesting facts: 1. Clip hold...

Put a prize in a steel tin and also a vague map or riddle to the next tin. Date the first one 20 or 30 years back (or however long with age appropriate prizes) and then precede down the years.

After I went to the range recently (shooting my Mini-14) I got back and realized I have more 30/40 Krag and 8x56 Hungarian than I do 5.56/.223 (only 120 rounds left) . I can't find it anywhere (unless I want to buy 500 rounds of steel cased, which I don't ). The only thing for sale around he...

You didn't say whether it was day time or night. That bit of info would change my answer. Daytime-walk to the nearest gun store. Here me out, no one robs a gun store during the day(it's suicide) you can calmly state you were robbed at gunpoint. I guarantee there will be several employees and patrons...

Also, can't prove it but it looks to me like the stainless with the Beta mag may be in 7.62*51 not 556 based on the size of the magwell.

Re: Do you like old guns but are interested in an AR?
I guess I should let you in on a secret. Springfield (the old one not the new one) is probably the maker of pic #2. I can't verify it but there were these type of rifles sold by old Springfield in the 60's. I have seen ads in old gun magazines. They were hoping to sell them as a hunting rifle hence ...

I like it. If you want a challenge for gun #2 what about something in Der Still style. https://i.etsystatic.com/20988685/r/il/78e331/2081028655/il_570xN.2081028655_moq9.jpg How is that Der Stijl? Granted, it doesn't use primary colors but it does emphasize the straight line and the tight rigid angl...

Do you like old guns but are interested in an AR?
I don't own an AR but have thought about getting one. I generally prefer older guns not only due to history but also because I prefer wood over plastic. I give you the All American Gun stocks option. Well what does the hive mind think? http://allamericangunstocks.weebly.com/photo-gallery.html https:...

Some of the Com block gas masks use Asbestos in the filters. I mean it's better than breathing mustard gas but still not great. :ohdear: I purchased a Polish MC-1 gas mask about a week ago from a vendor who still had some in stock. It arrived today and was tested. I also got a rain suit and rubber g...

Re: Covid-19 Leads to Surge of Guns & Ammo Sales
What's the antique pistol? Selling guns today. One went to a local gun store. One will go on GunBroker. One will likely be a private sale. One may or may not get sold (an antique and best to sell online but pistol sales are tough due to FFLs being reluctant to ship your pistol). The shotgun went to ...

Nashville- schools elementary-college closed. I usually work from home 3 days out of 5 a week, the state sent me an email saying to work from home until further notice. It's about 20 miles. I an on the very edge of West Nashville and it hit the edge of East Nashville. I hear there were actually 5 tornadoes not just one ranging from f-1's to and F-3.

I live in West Nashville and I slept through the whole thing. It was all centered in the Eastern part of the city. I would note that no alarm signaled on my I-phone just food for thought.

1898 Springfield Krag Jorgenson in 30-40 Krag along with 40 rounds of Hornady ammo. It's been sporterized but only with a Fajer walnut stock. The rear sight needs some work and for some reason the safety won't engage but these are small issues to fix. It's got the the Dickson sight which I think the...

I plan to watch it. I have read a couple of the books in the series and they were pretty good. The guy who wrote it is Polish and was born in 1948. I don't know why I found that interesting but I did. I guess there aren't a lot of books I know of set in a mythical med-evil Polish like society.

No Fire mares were harmed in this scenario. The question you should ask is, why was I in a coma and why, does my dominant arm not work. :awesome: I went with the Marlin. I do think it's the easiest line up and shoot one handed and it's a semi auto. Yea, reloading is not gonna be great but there are ...

Well you will be on a line with anywhere from 5-20 people depending on new recruits and losses from the previous battle. Oh, and no shot for the shotgun Stercutus, it's slugs only :) Are we defending from a walled position or a trenched position? If I'm the only defender on the line, 870. I'll proba...
