Re: Can someone help id this knife model?

Thank you all for your answers. I did my share of research and was lucky to get a quick reply from a German youtuber who usually shows similar looking knives. "Hi there, thanks for watching my reviews The photo shows a pattern which is called "Marbles Woodcraft" and a patent for the design was grant...

Can someone help id this knife model?

I got it from a flea market for 10 euros. I have seen several models (from Solingen or Linder) with similar handles, for sale on E Bay, but not with this exact blade shape. It is already sharpened very well. The spine is smoothed out and feels great on the thumb. The grip has good balance and fits p...

Re: Military coup d'etat in Turkey

From about an hour ago: Facebook, twitter, and youtube are blocked. Unless there are on-the-ground journalists there, will be hard to get information whether it failed, succeeded, or still ongoing. https://techcrunch.com/2016/07/15/facebook-twitter-and-youtube-blocked-in-turkey-during-reported-coup...

Dealing with sleep deprivation

I'm about to take a 1-month course ,which is highly intensive. Nothing physical about it ,only mental , a lot to learn ,lots of info to be assimilated, book researching and writing essays. The teachers already warned me that I will certainly have to sleep less ,go to bed at late hours , and manage m...

Let's assume it's a fine summer evening ,you are walking back home with your SO ,and you pass through a rather less populated area. You are wearing a nice leather jacket.Underneath ,a tshirt and a shoulder holster. You're a responsible citizen with a CCW permit. 25 - 30 feet in front of you ,a local t...

Re: Glad I didn't help out!

To all of you criticising ,please come live under european laws for some time.We don't have .45's ,gats ,12 gauges ,six-shooters ,or tactical underpants ,they want us to be sitting ducks for statistics. Worst thing is - we don't even have laws to defend us average joes anymore. All we got left is our...

Glad I didn't help out!

A couple of nights ago ,I stepped off the subway accompanied by a friend.A large group of people got off at the same stop ,and we were moving almost as a group towards the stairs ,to reach the upper level ,where the exit was.My friend and I were in kind of a hurry ,so we were a bit ahead of the othe...

Let's talk air pistols

First of all ,this is not a thread about self-defence ,or hunting.Just plain replicas that shoot BB's or pellets ,which are used for backyard target plinking.Which models do you own ,or have owned ,what are their ups and downs ,accuracy and durability.Be it Co2-powered or spring.

Re: One Weapon, One Partner, One Theme Song

Tuco Benedicto Pacifico Juan Maria Ramirez - from The Good ,The Bad and The Ugly.No room for any weapon.....as I would basically keep handing him liquor bottles to keep him excited ,while whistling the movie's main theme and watch bodies drop. Not the optimal choice ,I know ,but to me it's kinda fun...
