Re: Climate Changes

I don't know a lot. But I do know, studying the climate is insanely complex.

So finding any good answers has wayyyyy too many variables.... Scope and bias and motivation all included.

Till I find a crystal ball, I just assume everyone is wrong.

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

So, back in November of 2004 I found myself at the Pensacola gun show. Several vendors were having "the AWB is over" sales. One of the better local vendors had several M1A's at their booth, just not the model I was interested in, a Scout. But I couldn't pass-up their sale prices and ended-up going ...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

A coating could work. How does it do with engraving? I've handled Cerakoted guns, but never paid attention to how thick the coat ends up. I hadn't considered paint-type coatings, and so didn't think to mention it's a Premier and a gift. I can deal with being less shiny to keep the rust at bay, but ...

Re: Anybody else have an AMC Eagle?

Never an Eagle, but my first car was an old '89 wrangler with the 4.2 and 3 speed auto... Loved it, reliable overall, and never got stuck if I used my head. Having said that though, slowwwwww.... Can't imagine the Eagle was lighter so it must have been a dog. And I could look past all the downsides ...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

I agree with Stercutus. Cerakote... or rattle can duracoat or Brownells gun-kote. As far as high temp paint, I had great luck on a rusted Ithaca with Rust-Oleum engine enamel with ceramic. I used the primer gray and semi gloss black for a homemade carbon fiber pattern. Been a couple years, still loo...

I've always been interested in these for the price and weight.

I just want a PCC or subgun style pistol with a folding stock.

Is the buffer tube on this functional like an AR, or is it just a place holder like AK conversions??

2019 - Current Battle Rifles in 7.62x51

I don't plan on getting one for a while, but I really want a bigger semi-auto for hunting or blasting one day. And I like to keep up as the market is constantly changing. Any experience, preferences, suggestions?? The list I'm aware of off the top of my head: 1. AR10 in various flavors (any good one...

Re: Buying emergency water from Amazon

1. First aid course. Shit, even some free YouTube stuff from legit people is useful. 2. Budget First Aid kit: duct tape, Purell, rubbing alcohol/hydrogen peroxide can fix most minor to moderate issues... I don't care what anyone says. It's what I use, and I'm kind of a doctor-ish. Maybe throw in som...

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

Since 350 legend is basically a 9mm extra long, and 450 Bushmaster is a 45 extra long, we need to straight wall the 6.8 SPC case and make a 40/10mm extra long to keep the caliber wars going. That would be the .400 Purdey and the .401 Winchester Self-Loading. There is a reason why these things went ...

Tongue in cheek aside... If it were a real zombie apocalypse, I'd probably like a 2# mini sledge. Can be used 1 handed. Can get power without much effort or being unwieldy. Small and compact. $12 from the hardware store. Blunt brain damage is probably much easier than a blade to someone who is untra...
