Peanut butter bacon sandwich

I was thinking about making a peanut butter and bacon sandwich. Why? Well, why not. As I am at work with no access to a stove, I googled. I found the following link. I'd like to share it with you http://www.ridiculousfoodsociety.net/2008/10/ulitmate-peanut-butter-and-bacon.html" onclick="window.open...

Re: Addicted to Technology? WTF???

My wife and I were actually in a documentary relating to gaming addiction. She and I met online and still play multiple games. (I'm at work and logged to the game as I type.) I understand gaming addiction very well, and to a smaller part, tech addiction. As far as helping them prep, it would be diff...

Re: Baby Monitors

I'm going to buck a trend and suggest not buying any. The only thing (in my opinion) they are useful for is depriving parents of sleep and fostering paranoia. If the sprout cries, you will hear. If the sprout stops breathing, you won't. If you have the monitor, every gurgle, coo and wheeze will be a...

<snip> The government should step up and put things in place to keep the cell phone network up and running like the old phone system. Leaving politics aside, why would anyone advocate this? I don't want the Government meddling in private affairs. The cell phone network is privately owned, but feder...

Re: Weird Happenings at the Bus Stop

OK, so it's a no-brainer, so I hope no one objects if I throw a wrench in this monkey... You do the obvious right thing: follow the van, try to make out its license plate while dialing 911. And your phone's dead. Don't tell me why this can't happen to you; phones BREAK even if you've got a car char...

I'm guessing he went off my location tag :D Correct. PDX = Portland International. Google Portland Sheriff, came up with the county. A little surfing, came up with the CHP permit page. Side note: He likes Mario, had strong feelings about the Arizona shooting and thinks SS should be F2P. That said, ...

Bold text mine - Most of your post was quite nice, but after more than 50 years of paying in to Social Security every payday, I don't appreciate the implication that now that we are finally retired and getting some of that back, we are taking money we aren't entitled to have. We are not parasites, ...

Drink heavily to offset the waves? Ha! It has never been my experience in a storm at sea that I've thought to myself: "you know self, we should be drunk right now". Yeah. When I lived in Florida, I routinely went out to scuba dive. I kept hearing all the old salts talk about getting hammered after ...

So if TS Lee drifted west and gave Texas the lovin' rainfull, would that mean Katia could also drift more westerly? Again, I'm not a weather stud, I understand the basics, but not the details.

Re: Are 1lb propane tanks safer for indoor storage?

I'd say it should be ok, but use common sense; don't store them in the attic, next to the water heater/furnace or garage. My preference would be to store them on a low shelf of a climate controlled room that doesn't have carpet. (Modify this if you frequently have children around.)

Just out of curiosity, when they release data that gets people injured or killed, will they still be awesome? Will they still be the plucky underdog after they have (likely unintentionally) caused the death of a LEO, or soldier? Here, a teeny example... http://www.djmash.at/release/users.html Pick a...

The members of hacking group Anonymous announced that they are attending it and urged anyone who believes in their cause to join them as well in a recent video. I'm going to offer a self-critique here, as it's something that was brought to my attention: Don't be a survival-douche. For me, it was little things that I wasn't even aware I was saying that hurt. A lot of you are misinterpreting what I said. Sure anyone can buy products anywhere. Thats NOT what I'm getting at. What I'm getting at, is how sad it is that people panic-buy and snatch up supplies in a town they don't even live in and then RUN. It's not like these pricks were "strolling" threw to...

I got a negative response from the lady I helped. I had been working for my company for about 1 year (after being a consultant for a year prior) when one of the secretaries asks me to open a package. She hands me a taped box and an OPEN pair of scissors. I take the box, say no thank you to the sciss...
