I'm curious as to the reasoning for this? And the legal backing\support... Is it under the state of emergency provisions\written into state law?

I appreciate the responses folks...

I have to say, this should really be waking people up to having their own filtration\purification systems in place... But, sadly, we know better.

Re: State of emergency in Flint, MI due to high lead-in-tapw

Just a minor thought.. The water pulled from the flint river was so acidic that it basically melted the coating on old lead pipes, right? The filtration failed... blah blah blah... My question is one I haven't seen asked... What in the hell makes a river so acidic it can melt linings and pipes? Are ...

Note, I do intend to contact the BATFE before using anything other than a magazine with at least one US part in it, after adding the US hand guard (which would give me 6 parts, until I get clarification). Respectfully, do you REALLY want to contact BATFE and bring a spotlight onto yourself? That do...

When I picked mine up at a flea market, the guy didn't know what he was selling... I got it for $35 (In my defense, I thought it was a replica at first, till midway through the haggle...) On the way out, I got (repeatedly) stopped by people wanting to buy it off me... One guy, when it was clear I wa...

Estate sale across the street from my house today - Wusthof 8" Chef's Knife. It was a "kitchen utensil" so they charged me 50 cents for a $70 knife! Also it's from the same series as my 6.5" santoku for a bonus! MAJOR score there... You don't want to know what I've spent on Wusthof knives in the pa...

Re: Ebola in West Africa

Ebola has never been on my worry list because based upon what I read it seemed to be deadly too quickly to allow its efficient spread to a large population base. That coupled with the fact that is not transmitted through airborne means like influenza made me not have it very high on my list of conc...

Ponyboy,

I'm really hoping you're going to reconsider and get this up on kindle epublishing... I was actually recommending it to some folks this morning, and if you get it to < $5 I'll 'pony' up for a digital copy.

One thing I would think about is, during your assignments, are you looking for properties in the area? If you can get cheap housing while you're there, and fix it up, then rent it to the next soldier when you rotate out, then you may be able to set yourself up fairly well. Additionally, you could be...
