I just want to thank all the brave posters on this thread. After spending a very amused evening lurking on this thread I decided to come back to Zombie Squad after a hiatus. And after thorough review: Thanks to crypto for his courageous.... over sharing. Or is it our braveness for looking? http://zo...

Very nice shadowbane! Thank you for taking the time to do that. I think water will continue to be quite problematic in the future. Both personally (our well water level is decreasing) and globally OZMUYGOD WERZ R RUNNINOUT!

Re: Multiple deaths reported in Ala. shooting spree
How about this one. If our society had an ounce of mental health awareness, detection and prevention, we could help the ill before they feel their only recourse is to lash out. This person was sick and needed help. Its not only the right thing to do, to take care of the ill and less fortunate, in t...

glad to see the politics rules only work one way here, as they usually do. The fact that I see "both sides" making this same complaint means that the mods are doing something right. If you really think something is a rule violation, the little exclamation point in the corner of each post is what yo...

Re: Multiple deaths reported in Ala. shooting spree
I think it sad that the responses seem to be, we should have had more killing, or the liberal government will take away my guns, or the liberal media gets it all wrong (course I am happy to learn that Fox is a liberal news source). How about this one. If our society had an ounce of mental health awa...

I am glad you posted on this topic. I know nothing about trapping but I think its a must learn for survival situations. I keep thinking about Little House on the Prairie (yes really). And that's a decent quality of life to strive for. Anyway a totally newb question, can you trap larger animals like ...

The containers are designed to bear all the wieght at the corners. The sides and top have no structural integrity. THe floor is designed to hold about 55,000 lbs, give or take. If you have a chance, climb on top of one, get in the middle and jump up and down. That much weight can cause them to bow ...

I'm pretty sure that you can get mercury free fluoro's... I've never seen one. Hg is pretty much universal in all fluorescent lamps. They do make RoHS compliant ones... the thinking apparrently went like this: Think Tank Leader: He guys, wanna save the planet? White Trash Guy: *loud belch* gimme an...

A big thank you to Sheep_Dog for organizing E Wa/ N Id meet
I wanted to thank Sheep_Dog for organizing the meet and greet tonight for Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. I appreciate him taking the initiative to plan this, and we will have to do it again. Amusing that the two ZSers from Pullman and Moscow respectively were the only two to make it to the C...

Ok looks like I will come. Now I need to decide on whether I take my car or my M35a2?
Humm the joys of possibly not arriving, with the joys of driving a M35a2 60 miles round trip.
Suggestions?

Re: Trapping Wild Turkey.
How does one make a wild turky trap i found this description online "A wild turkey trap is made by first digging a ditch; then over one end is built a rude structure of logs, covered at the top. The structure should not be tight, but, of course, sufficiently close not to let the birds through. Indi...

Honestly, I grew up out in boonies, spent a lot of my life there and even own a chunk of ground, but it would be my last, last, last resort. Escaping to the woods is no picnic. I come back to the conclusion that a lot of folks will eventually end up in a refugee camp of some kind trying to escape t...

Currently it has about 20 gallons of diesel in it. After reading the authorized fuel chart I noted a part that stated that mixing fuel types was permitted. Does anyone know if running a 50/50 or 75/25 diesel/gasoline mix does anything adverse? It seems like if someone siphoned that off me, I wouldn...
