ZS Postal Match for October 2006
Standing Centerfire Rifle
Distance: 50 yards
Targets: 2
Rounds: 5 per target.
Stance: Standing and Unsupported
Sights: Any
This month's match can be performed by any centerfire rifle of your choice. Since October and November bring deer season to much of the US, I felt this would be timely practice for any hunters, and a good exercise for everyone. The unsupported standing shot is probably the most difficult to execute accurately, and is widely used for hunting. Shooting from this position can be quite humbling, especially if you are used to shooting from other positions.
Please note that only two targets will be required for this month.
The following target will be used:

These matches are held on the HONOR SYSTEM. Targets that appear altered will be disqualified. I have been a competitive shooter long enough to know what an altered target looks like. Targets that are excessively damaged will be disqualified. Targets that are not received with the proper post mark date will be disqualified.
Targets will be scored based on typical marksman scoring. The closer you are to the Bull's Eye, the higher your score. The shooter with the highest average score wins. The tightest average groups rule will be used in the event of a tie.
Winners Certificates will be mailed accordingly.
There is no limit to how many matches you can participate in, and there is no limit as to how many you can win.
Even if you think you can't win, send those targets in! We'll be keeping a running total of participants scores, and offer prices at 6 month and 1 year intervals. The more events you participate in, the more likely you'll win one of the big prizes!
